Dr. Nilay Shah
Born and raised in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY, Dr. Shah earned his bachelors at Cornell University. Dr. Shah went on to complete his medical education at St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies where as president of the world's largest chapter of the American Medical Students Association, he helped to set up a dozen clinics around the island to help care for thousands of local island residents. Dr. Shah also coordinated a $250,000US donation to improve the island nation's healthcare system. Dr. Shah was recently inducted into the school's chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, which advances humanism in medicine, perpetuating the tradition of the caring doctor.
Dr. Shah moved on to New York City where he completed a residency in Neurology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center followed by a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at Presbyterian Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh. While at Mt. Sinai, he helped to found the website MedicalPocketPC.com, the world's leading resource for healthcare professionals improving patient care using handheld technology. More recently he and several friends started MedicaliPhone.com.
He is currently Medical Director of the Holistic Med Spa & Laser clinic as well as the Integrated Medicine and Nutrition Clinic in Mt. Kisco, NY. There he helps patients to find beauty on the inside through a wholistic medical practice, and the outside with the use of fillers and botox. Dr. Shah has been working with Botox for over 10 years, and had been teaching other physicians techniques in the use of botox and fillers for use in their own spas for the last two years. Dr. Shah is also a member of the physician staff at THE FACE Laser Clinic in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Dr. Shah has appeared on several television and radio shows to promote health, wellness and beauty in a way easy for the public to understand.
In his free time, Dr. Shah enjoys bicycling, skiing, swimming, SCUBA diving when he gets a chance, and travel, having visited over 60 countries on every continent.
